Lost & Found was an internet/voice mail project created to encourage the public to listen to one another. When the public called 1 877 565 5678 (LOST) they had the option of leaving a message about a lost item, a found item, or to listening to those messages left by others. All of these messages were uploaded to a website, www.lostandfoundroom.com. Similar to the lost pet pleas for help that cover telephone poles and bulletin boards, “Lost” & “Found” posters were placed in public spaces with the phone number printed on small, pre-cut pieces at the bottom for passersby to take.
